This weekend was the Spring & Garden Show at the Deschutes Fairgrounds and Event Center. We decided to go and see if maybe we could get some ideas or find any "show specials" that might be worth our while.
We had never been to the Deschutes Fairgrounds before and we were quite impressed. It's on 132 acres and the facilities are very nice. The buildings all look relatively new and in any case are well cared for.
You can't really see too well with these photos as they are from my phone. Sorry about that! These are the Swine, Sheep, and Dairy barns.
This is the Hooker Creek Event Center, one of the multiple buildings.
We got several brochures and talked to the vendors about such things as refinishing the deck, solar power, and greenhouses. Too bad we don't have more money available to be able to do some of these things. Well, one of these days.
I was happy to find two $2 off admission coupons on line. Plus Hubby is a "senior" so he gets a small discount. And apparently the CA trend to charge for parking hasn't made it's way up north. Yet. I hope it stays that way.
