Perry Is Having Too Much Fun

It's apparent that Perry, the ram, knows his job. Just two days after being reintroduced to the ewes he's made his "mark" on Ewenice. This is what the mark is supposed to look like.

There were also some faint marks on Jamie's side. I'm not sure if that means he was successful or not.

My problem is I am not that experienced with all the sheep dealings. I've only been doing this for a couple of years, so I don't really know what to expect. As I've said before, most of my knowledge is from reading "how to" books.

In all my animal enterprises I've been really, really lucky. I've not had any major setbacks, with only one exception, and even that turned out to be a valuable learning lesson.

The internet has also been a helpful tool. I've been able to find answers to some of my questions. And I've learned different facts and tidbits from the few magazines I subscribe to.

Now, I know that Perry is capable of servicing at least 100 ewes, probably more. Last summer was his first year ever as a stud ram and I'm wondering if he's figured something out already. I wonder if he knows that he only has six ewes. I wonder if he knows he will only be with them for about +/- 40 days. And does he know he won't have as much "fun" as a commercial stud so he feels he has to take it where he can...

and 3of4 too!

Okay, I won't say anything. So long as Perry eventually gets the job done I won't say anything!
